OBAMACARE????

Do you know anything about the new Federal Affordable Health Care law that is now going into effect? I don’t.

It was a 2,500 page bill when congressional leaders Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi encouraged fellow representatives to pass the law and then read it. Now it has blossomed to some 15,000 pages, I have been told. Full of rules, regulations and taxes and big penalties. The bad part is that I don’t know how it is going to affect me, or the rest of you folks out there. I know it robs billions of dollars over a period of years from Medicare and that alone should cause all of us over 65 to be concerned.

Even some of the Democratic Representatives are now having second thoughts about the bill. They should have read it first. Public support is not what the president had expected and he now has approval to spend millions of dollars on a national advertising campaign to hopefully to get people to sign up for the free health coverage. If there is any such thing as free!

No good comes from anything that the federal government gets involved in except that it will cost us more money.

There is a best selling booklet, “The Obama Survival Guide” is now available and I will get one to read it over, hope it helps.

Funny things that I get from the e-mail

I get a lot of items sent to me by the way of our e-mail address. Many stories I know are not true and some of them might be. But sometimes the story is too good to be true but it is a great story, and the following is one that I got this past week and just have to reprint it. You can be the judge of its truthfulness.

The heading reads, “Joe asks for 6 months of retraining for cattle guards.”

Author, unknown:

For those of you who have never traveled to the west or south, cattle guards are horizontal steel rails place in driveways at fence openings to keep cattle from crossing out of their enclosed area.

For some reason the cattle will not step in the “guards”, probably because they fear getting their feet caught between the rails.

A few months ago, President Obama received and was reading a report that there were over 100,000 cattle guards in Colorado. The Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in grazing policies, so he ordered the Secretary of the Interior to fire half of the cattle guards immediately.

Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten President Obama out on the matter, Vice President Joe Biden intervened with a request that, before any cattle guards were fired, they be given six months of retraining.

“Times are hard,” said Joe, “it’s only fair to the cattle guards and their families be given six months of retraining!”

And, as Larry the Cable Guy would say, “I don’t care who you are, that’s funny.”
