DOROTHY E. KRUEGER

Dorothy E. Krueger, age 85, of Glenwood City, WI died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Glenhaven Inc. in Glenwood City, WI.

Dorothy was born Dec. 3, 1927 in New Richmond, WI to Henry and Zelpha (Morley) Larson. Raised in the New Richmond area she graduated from the New Richmond High School. She worked at Doboy and later at Friday Canning Co. of New Richmond, WI. Dorothy married Herbert Krueger Nov. 1, 1947 in New Richmond, WI. They moved to the Glenwood area where they farmed and she enjoyed baking bread, needle point, quilting, gardening, doing puzzles and writing poems. While living in the Glenwood area she worked at the Glenwood City Bakery for several years.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husband Herb, son Terrance, grandson Lee, four brothers LaVerne, Olaf, Irwin and Herman, six sisters Violet, Marie, Penny, Pat, Jean and Assa.

Dorothy is survived by six children: Henry (Taek) Krueger, Myron (Susie) Krueger, Karla (Donald) Malean, Jeanne (Rick) Schillinger, Kimberly Krueger and Sarah Slama (Tom Tischman); daughter-in-law Jan Krueger; grandchildren: Morgan (Lisa) Malean, Devon Krueger, Darren (Carrie) Krueger, Bob Slama, Brandon Schillinger, Adam (Heather) Malean, Alan (Elizabeth) Malean, Amy (Dave) Mack, Kristine (Gordy) Howe, Brittany Schillinger (Will), Krystal (Stony) Clements; step-grandchildren: Laurie Hatella, Chris (Steph) Drinkman and John Drinkman;  15 great-grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren; sisters Ethel Boyd and Norma Paasch;  brother-in-law Howard (Vera) Krueger. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, WI with Reverend Diane House officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood City, WI. Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
