Hay River Helpers hold April meeting
April 8 the Hay River Helpers met at 7:00 p.m. at Tiffany Creek Elementary. We started with pledges, reports & new business. First we decided to try to visit Glenhaven and play bingo with the residents.
We discussed a spring activity and will choose one at the next meeting.
If anyone wants to add or change their project for the fair they can do it by May 1 by contacting Missy. It is too late to change meat animal projects.
We talked about two upcoming classes. One is Robotics Day which is May 11th starting at 10:30 at the Judicial Center.
The next one is Proper Record Bookkeeping class which is May 20th at the Boyceville High School, 6:30 – 8:00. RSVP is recommended.
Demonstrations were given as follows: Nathan Corr – 4H Camp, Corey Klatt- Robotics, Rian Corr – Homemade Helicopters, Sam Retz – Beef, Linzy Ayers – her Painting of a tree, Abby Kegan – Chemical reactions, Maggie Wyss – Dog Project. In February Jordan Nelson read a story he had written called the Magic Gun and Jacob Nelson showed the catupult he made. Remember to bring ideas for the fair sign next meeting. The theme this year is “Have a Fair-y Tail Time”.
Meeting adjourned by President Abbie Kegan. Delightful lunch served by Kegans & Kurrs.
