JANET LUCILE WOLD

Janet Lucile Wold died on April 14, 2013 at her home in rural Menomonie.

She was born on October 17, 1925 to Henry and Lillian Niedermeyer Fenske. She lived on the family farm her entire life with the exception of higher education at UW-Whitewater.

Janet was married to Peter Wold on October 25, 1947. She and Peter continued farming until his death in 1977. After his death, she continued to operate and manage the farm through 2010. Throughout her life, she was an avid and enthusiastic participant in square dancing and roller skating. She was extremely sympathetic to her cats, dogs and birds that came to her bird feeders.

Janet was town clerk for Spring Brook Township, Dunn County for many years. She had very high standards of accuracy, responsibility and determination in any task she undertook.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Ruth, and her brothers: Francis, Robert and E. Charles (Chuck). She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 at United Methodist Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Don Gribble officiating. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Center Cemetery in the Town of Spring Brook, Dunn Co. WI at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the Dunn County Humane Society.
