JEANNE M. STACK

Jeanne M. Stack, age 85, of Glenwood City, Wisconsin died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Jeanne was born July 14, 1927, the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Fredine) Anderson in Cady Township, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church growing up and was presently a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City. Jeanne grew up in Spring Valley and lived there until 1951. She was married to Lawrence Stack on January 4, 1945 at the St. John’s Parsonage in Spring Valley.

Jeanne and Lawrence lived at various locations including Spring Valley, Glenwood City, Birchwood, and Somerset, Wisconsin; Brooklyn Center and Chisago City, Minnesota; Apache Junction, Arizona; and finally returned to Glenwood City. Jeanne worked as a retail cashier and as a nurse’s aide in various locations. She loved doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, reading, fishing, gardening, and raising dogs. She was an accomplished oil painter and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers Stanley and Spencer Anderson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Pat Anderson, Morris Stack, Harold Stack, and Marjorie Stack.

Survivors include her husband Lawrence of Glenwood City; one daughter and two sons: Laurie (Daryl) Pederson of Carbondale, Colorado; David (Michealyn) Stack of Minneapolis; and Dean (Laura) Stack of Nevis, Minnesota; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Daniel (Tracy) Stack and daughter Savanna; Amanda (Chris) Hunt; Kenneth Stack; Briana (Kevin) McLaren; Kristina (Randy) Adame and children Landon, Ethan, Avalynn, and Kaelynn; Spencer Stack; and Molly Stack; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Lois Anderson of Spring Valley, June Stack of Glenwood City, and Phyllis (Don) McGregor of Estacado, Oregon; and Ed Stack of Glenwood City; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was on Friday, April 5 from 5-8 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spring Valley. Funeral service was on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spring Valley with Rev. Diane House officiating. Linda Anderson was organist.

Pallbearers were Jim Anderson, Gary Anderson, Greg Anderson, Tom Stack, Rick Stack, Jim Stack, and Stephen Hanson.
