FRANK E. ENGEBRETSON

Frank E. Engebretson, age 69, of Boyceville, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System- Eau Claire peacefully surrounded by his family.

Frank Edward Engebretson was born on March 16, 1944 in Eau Claire, WI to Daniel and Margaret (Grant) Engebretson. Frank graduated from Boyceville High School in 1962. He worked for the Dunn County Highway Dept. from 1973 until his retirement in 1999.

Frank married Rachael Meiselwitz on September 24, 1993. He was known to many as Santa Claus and he kept the smile even without the suit. Frank loved spending time with his family and friends and later in life also found enjoyment with his cats and bird watching.

Frank is survived by his wife Rachael; children, Faye (David) Skelton of Whitewater, Boon (Tami) Engebretson of Wheeler, Renee Peterson of Baldwin, Sarah Stroo of Wheeler, Emily (Mike) Duch of Chippewa Falls and Laura Buerger of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Derik, Nichole, Aleisha, Stephen, Kayla, Angie, Tyler, Wyatt; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother Ronald (Patricia) Engebretson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carol Flatland, brother Kenneth and a brother-in-law David Johnston.

A Memorial Service were held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. Visitation was from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hay River Cemetery.
