DOLORES KONGSHAUG
Dolores Kongshaug, age 84 of Wilson, Wisconsin died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the River Falls Area Hospital, River Falls, Wisconsin.
Dolores was born August 27, 1928, the daughter of Matthew and Eva (Franklin) Mulvaney in Elmwood, Wisconsin. She graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1946 and continued her education at River Falls Normal School. She taught school for about 11 years at Cady Lane and other country schools in the area.
On June 8, 1953 Dolores married Kenneth Kongshaug at the courthouse in Hudson. They were blessed with two sons: Rodney and Craig. After marriage they lived in Woodville, WI for a short period of time before moving to Janesville. They then moved back to the Wilson area where they owned and operated Ken and Dee’s Bar in Wilson for 44 years.
Dolores was an avid reader and kept up on current events. Her grandchildren enjoyed visiting with her and hearing her educated views on things.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Kenneth “Boogen”; sister Joan Stene and her husband Harlen; brother Loren Mulvaney and wife Molly; and brother-in-law Bill Bune.
Survivors include her sons Rodney (Cindy) Kongshaug of Spring Valley and Craig Kongshaug of Wilson; two grandchildren: Jordan (Annie) Kongshaug of Elk Mound and Fallon (Nathan) Schloemer of Wauwatosa; two great granddaughters: Isabella and Clara Kongshaug; one sister Beverly Bune of Spring Valley; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral was on Sunday, March 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson Lutheran Church, Wilson, Wisconsin. Burial was in Lone Pine Cemetery, Woodville, Wisconsin.
Pallbearers were Jordan and Annie Kongshaug and Fallon and Nathan Schloemer.
