ALICE R. LAKE

Alice R. Lake, age 84, of the Township of Hay River, WI died Thursday February 28, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire, WI surrounded by her family.

Alice was born October 10, 1928 in Wheeler, WI to Paul and Elvina (Hovland) Goodell. Alice married Herbert R. Lake October 10, 1947 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Wheeler, WI. They farmed in the Township of Hay River, WI where she enjoyed watching the birds and butterflies.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert in 2006 and grandson Richie Lake.

Alice is survived by six children: Aneta (Dorian) Spielman of Menomonie, WI; Lonna (William) Borgert of Boyceville, WI; Diana Nutter of Boyceville, WI; Ricky (Gloria) Lake of Boyceville, WI; Melanie Lake of Centennial, CO and Jeffrey (Kelley) Lake of Boyceville, WI. Grandchildren: Drew (Melissa) Spielman, Wyatt Spielman, Lisa (Todd) Stuart, Tina Talmage, Tonya Schutts, Tessa (Matt) Feeney, Jeremy “Spike” (Sue) Nutter, Jenny Lake (Jerry Conrad), Lindsay, April & Jake Lake. Great Grandchildren; Brittany, Melissa, Tristan, Tori, Tyra, Isabelle, Aiden, Colton, Megan, Bryce, Tayler, Hope and Faith. Brother Malcolm (Millie) Goodell of Wheeler, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Wheeler, WI with Reverend Bradley Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Hay River Cemetery Township in Hay River, WI. Friends were able call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
