Bocyeville resident is December’s “Get Caught Recycling” winner

Even snow and cold temperatures cannot deter a great recycler. Beth Novotney, the “Get Caught Recycling” winner for December recently closed out 2012 by showing some stellar recycling at the Boyceville Area Collection Station.

Her clearly marked recycling bins immediately caught the eye of Dunn County Recycling Specialist Amanda Dent. By designating what goes in each bin, Novotney found an effective way for her children to help with the family’s recycling.

Holidays traditionally amass a great deal of trash, but thanks to attentive recycling, people like Beth greatly reduce the amount of generated waste. As a thank you, Novotney received a gift certificate to the Acoustic Café for her outstanding sorting.

The “Get Caught Recycling” contest will continue into 2013. Recyclers can be caught at any Area Collection Station, the Dunn County Transfer Station, the City of Menomonie Drop-off, or curbside recycling. Sponsors of the “Get Caught Recycling” prizes include Acoustic Café, Vagabond Bakery, the Raw Deal and Menomonie Market Food Co-op.
