LEAH MARIE STROM RULE
Leah Marie Strom Rule, age 44, of Boyceville, WI left us peacefully on the Winter Solstice, December 21, 2012.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her loving husband Robert Rule; parents Ken and Shirley Strom; brothers Greg Strom and wife Jayme, Jaime Strom and wife Kim; parent-in-laws Bob and Ginny Rule, brother-in-law James Rule, sister-in-law Teri Sheehan and husband Daniel; nieces and nephews Sam, Carly, Henry, Parker, Caleb, Jacob, Rusty and Lily; and a vast network of relatives and friends.
Leah died from cancer of unknown primary (CUP). She graduated from Wayzata High School in 1987 and from MCAD in 1991 with a degree in fine arts. Of her many, many accomplishments, she was most proud of her self-published journal/zine titled Rural Fox, chronicling her and Rob’s move to the farm. Also, due to her love of music, she taught herself bass guitar and became a full time member of the Mammy Nuns. At her country home, she enjoyed gardening and hiking thru the pasture and woods, along with some cats and dogs. Leah lived a full life in half a life time. She was loved by all who met her.
A Memorial will be held at the Cedar Cultural Center in MPLS, January 4th. More info will be posted on her Caringbridge site. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to: Peoples State Bank, Attn: Leah Rule Benefit, 715 State Road 79, Boyceville, WI 54725. Checks should be made payable to Leah Rule Benefit.
