EILEEN SYKORA
Eileen Sykora, 88 of Bloomer, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the MapleWood in Bloomer.
Eileen was born on September 28, 1924 in Rock Falls, WI to John and Marie (Feda) Pichler. She married Ernest Sykora on November 26, 1945 in Mondovi. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She loved playing cards with her brothers and gardening.
She is survived by 4 sons, Paul (Barb) of Bloomer, Dent (Jeanette) of Bruce, Bill (Jane) of Chippewa Falls and Chuck (Dawn) of Bloomer; 4 daughters, Pat (Dave) Schultz of Bloomer, Dort (Dan) Lee of Colfax, Esther (Kevin) Knudson of Arbor Vitae and Joan (Ed) Stuart; 4 brothers, Peter (Armella) of Mondovi, David (Arlene) of Eau Claire, Clifford of Eau Claire and Larry (Evelyn) Pichler of Durand; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Sykora of Eau Claire; she is also survived by numerous grand children and step grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Bregetta O’Keefe; brother, James Pichler; sister-in-law, Dorothy Pichler and two children in infancy.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Cooks Valley with Father John Potaczek officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends were able to call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Schriver Funeral Chapel, Bloomer and one hour before the Mass at the church on Saturday. There was a 4 p.m. Rosary followed by a 7:30 p.m. Christian Wake Service at the Funeral Chapel on Friday.
