FRANCIS L. “FRAN” PIOTROWSKI

Francis L. “Fran” Piotrowski, age 79, unexpectedly passed away, Monday, November 26, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Bloomer.

He was born on November 17, 1933 in Douglas WY to Frank and Jewel (Hutchinson) Piotrowski. He proudly served his country in the US Navy for 21 years. He was also a welder and implement repairman. Fran served as constable in Sand Creek for 25 years and was deputized by the Dunn County Sherriff’s Department. He married Sue (Zula) Turner on September 24, 1971 in Winter Haven CA. He was a member of the Colfax American Legion/VFW and Fleet Reserve Association. Fran truly enjoyed his work as constable and working for the Sheriff’s Department and in his free time loved to go fishing.

He is survived by his wife: Sue of Sand Creek; son: Rocky of Minocqua, WI; sister: Margaret Engel of Shelton, WA, brothers-in-law: Edward Daken and Fred Turner; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: John and Lewis Piotrowski; sister Mary Daken.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, with Pastor Barb Koch officiating. There was visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment was in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sand Creek, with military rites being performed by the Bloomer American Legion/VFW. Online Condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com.
