Boyceville Spirit of Christmas to be held December 8

BOYCEVILLE – Saturday, December 8 marks the 12th Annual Boyceville Spirit of Christmas.
The day long festivities begin the week prior with judging for the Best Decorated Home and the Best Decorated Business, which will be announced following the Live Nativity Scene Saturday evening.
On Saturday, the Spirit of Christmas Craft Sale at the Middle School Gymnasium will begin at 8:00 a.m. and go until 3:00 p.m.
Also starting in the morning will be the Trinity Lutheran Church Silent Auction, Lefse and Bake Sale from 10:00-2:00 which will also feature the Bulldog Booster Club.
Kicking off in the afternoon will be the Spirit of Christmas Wine and Ale Tasting at The Buck Shot Bar at 1:00 p.m.
Also in the afternoon from 2:00-4:00 will be the Young Ambassador Ceremony at the Community Center. The Ambassadors and their candidates along with others will be presenting “Murdered at the Kringel’s Annual Holiday Block Party”. Everyone can meet the candidates and enjoy some refreshments.
The Eagles’ Nest will be providing a Spaghetti Dinner sponsored by the Boyceville Lions Club from 3:30-6:30.
The Live Nativity Scene presented by the Boyceville Ministerial Association will begin on Main Street at 4:30.
Immediately following this will be the lighting of the Community Lovelight Tree, presentation of the trophies for Best Decorated Home and Best Decorated Business, the Lighted Holiday Parade, Horse Drawn Rides after dusk, presentation of the Best Lighted Parade and Horse Units and a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
In case of inclement weather the Live Nativity Scene and visits with Santa will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Wrapping up the festivities will be music at Buck Shot Bar starting at 8:00 p.m.
Throughout the entire day there will be free hot chocolate on Main Street provided by ConAgra. There will also be a Vintage Snowmobile Show on Main Street and a Golden Ornament Treasure Hunt; the one who finds the ornament will win $100.00.
