MARCEL VINCENT KAHLER

Marcel Vincent Kahler passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 at United Hospital, at the age of 93 years.

Vince was born on February 13, 1919, the son of Andrew and Abigail Kahler. On September 28, 1939 he married Florence Delage. He was a lifelong resident of Emerald where he and his wife farmed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Edward; three brothers Walter, Chester, and Donald; and two sisters Jean Klee and Myrna Gaustad.

Vince is survived by wife Florence of 73 years; sons John (Arlys), Dale (Doris), Steve (Sharon); and one daughter Joyce (Jim) Juen; 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters Dorothy Otto and Arlene Goossens; one brother Robert (Betty); and two sisters-in-law Eva and Adeline and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Vince lived a full life enjoying traveling, fishing and playing cards.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Long as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
