BETTY J. WIENKE

Betty J. Wienke, age 75 of  Forest Township, WI, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at her home with hospice surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer.

Betty was born on February 19, 1937 in the Township of Forest, WI to Charles and Gladys (Whistler) Stuart. She attended grade School in Connorsville and later graduated from Boyceville High School in 1954. Betty married Gerald Wienke May 17, 1958 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Forest, WI. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her job as an Avon representative, which she did for 39 years. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Connorsville, where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. Betty enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, and watching the Brewers and Packers. Betty’s most precious joys in life were her children and grandchildren; whom she loved dearly.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; son Kevin; sister Gladys “Dee” Ulberg; brothers Herb, Tom, Fred, Jack and Earl Stuart; brothers-in-law Arlis Hoff and Walter Ulberg; sisters-in-law Mildred Stuart and Irene Stuart.

Betty is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gerald Wienke of Clear Lake, WI; son Randy Wienke and wife Cindy of New Richmond, WI; grandchildren Brandon Wienke, Nathan Wienke, Jordan Wienke, Savannah Johnson; sisters Velma “Sis” Wienke and husband Orlin, and Paula “Pode” Hoff; brother Mike Stuart and wife Johnna; sisters-in-law Ally Stuart and Shirley Vetvick and husband Dennis. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Connorsville, WI with Reverend Paul Carlson officiating. Disposition will be at the Eau Claire Memorial Crematory. Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
