Jaime Bosch, Colfax, and Charles Riehle, St. Paul, were married Nov. 2 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Oakdale, MN.
Dana M. Kurschner and Adam C. Caswell were married Oct. 26 at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church, Rice Lake.
Jodi Dierich, Colfax, received the 2002 Dunn County 4-H Volunteer of the Year award for her commitment and dedication to the 4-H program.

Colfax high school students Aaron Wagner and Lara Bohnen were named October Achievement Award winners by First American Bank of Colfax.
Sharon Mayer, Chippewa Falls, and David Gullickson, Colfax, were married Sept. 25 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Cooks Valley.
Michelle Wagner, Eau Claire, and Dennis Maukstad, Colfax were married Oct. 10 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Eau Claire.
35 years ago – November 17, 1977
Colfax placed three players on the Dunn-St. Croix All Conference football team including running back Ron Rose, offensive guard Lynn Johnson and defensive lineman Ben Schindler.
Mr. and Mrs. David Swartz, Colfax, have announced the birth of a son, Joshua James, born Nov. 12.
Debra Kay Roettger and Richard Olin Sundby were married Nov. 3 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson.
50 years ago – November 15, 1962
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Flynn, Fayetteville, North Carolina, became the parents of a baby daughter on Oct. 9. She has been named Melissa Jane.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerhart Hammer and Mrs. Ed. P. Rosenberg motored to Elk Mound Saturday to attend the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rosenberg.
Roger G. Brown, Elk Mound, has enrolled in the Electrical Engineering program at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
65 years ago – November 20, 1947
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Moen in Running Valley was the scene of a pretty wedding Saturday, Nov. 15 between their daughter Doris Malinda and Joseph E. Rosenberg of Colfax.
After returning from a 220 mile trip from Madison, Mr. and Mrs. August Erickson were 60 rods away from their own driveway six miles north of Colfax when they hit a 10 point, 206 pound buck deer in their 1940 Chevrolet sedan.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Freestone celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with family and friends at their home last Sunday.
100 years ago – November 22, 1912
O. G. Kinney went to Eau Claire Monday to get his daughter Olga, who had been at the hospital for treatment for a nervous difficulty.
Be sure to attend the lecture on “Fools and Failures” by Hon. Aaron S. Watkins at the Opera House this Friday evening. It will be interesting and instructive.
The fire bell was heard last Saturday and the fire company and a big crowd of citizens went rushing to the J. D. Simons building on the south side where some children had been playing with matches and started a blaze. The new chemical engine was used and the fire was under control in just a few minutes.
