Boyceville Bits & Pieces – 10-31-2012
I guess you know by now, it’s getting colder each day…my bones and body know. Beautiful Wisconsin. If you stick around you can have all four seasons in a couple of days.
On Monday Boyceville family and friends showed their respect for Stan McIntyre at Trinity. God Bless.
Fred and I met to have supper with Carol Wier and Fred Miller from Wisconsin Rapids. They were up here to plan a memorial service and burial at Ford’s Cemetery out on Midway Road and K.
Robin and Emma Brandt, Noelle Madeline and Miranda Mauer from Kenosha were Friday overnight visitors of their grandparents, Doug and Jean McIntyre.
On Wednesday morning we had lunch at the home of Fred’s sister’s, Barb Jeager. Then we went to the Memorial service for Carol Wier’s mother. She was 90 years old. Carol was one of my fiends who still had her mother. Carol’s mother was there when I needed a place and someone who cared. The funeral is this week, had me thinking because I also lost a dear friend in Texas. Ralph Wiehr, who died on the 17th. I want to bless all the families who mourned the loss of a loved one.
On Thursday evening we visited Fred’s sister, Marion in Hammond. It made for a long day after a day at the store.
On Saturday we had a full day of visitors. A note was left by a dear woman. It said: “Visited your lovely store – and everything is 1/2 priced; what a way to go! signed Lorelei Sharboro of Menomonie.” Lorelei and her neighbor were in.
Today at Trinity was a special day, as there were 13 youth who were confirmed. Another step in their growing faith.
The rain has slowed down the harvest of beans here. I see as we traveled to Menomonie, some of the corn combines were again moving. The beans take a little longer to dry. We are watching it closely though.
Eunice Anderson and Dee Brezina spent a couple days this weekend at Becky and Tim Greenway’s at Reedsburg, WI. Beautiful weather for travelling back and forth. Beautiful Wisconsin, nature’s wonderland.
Darcy took a trip to Green Bay to visit Darlene for Saturday and Sunday.
Now that you always know our happenings throughout the week, let me know your whereabouts. Watch for those little spooks on Wednesday night. Take care, this is one night that the kids have fun.
God Bless, Sharon
