BRIDGET D. QUIMBY
Bridget D. Quimby, 36, of Appleton, Wisconsin, formerly of the Colfax area, died on Thursday, October 18, 2012, in Appleton.
She was born on January 29, 1976, in Denver, Colorado. She was raised in Colfax, Wisconsin. After high school she worked in North Dakota, as well as the Stevens Point and Appleton areas. Most recently she was involved with long haul trucking, doing the record keeping.
Bridget had a great sense of humor, a lovely smile, and she made friends quickly. She took great pride in homeschooling her children, allowing her to spend more time with them. She was eager to help anyone with a problem, and often shared the Lord with them. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 116. She will be deeply missed by her three girls, who were the light of her life.
Bridget is survived by her three daughters, Brianna Martin (15) and her father Ken Martin, Brandi (12) and Burgandy (10) Quimby and their father Dennis Quimby; parents, Dorothy (Halvorson) and Gregory Plantz of Colfax; brother, Darrin Plantz of Tipton, IA; sisters, Nora Mae (Nick) Fletcher of Stone Creek, OH and Michelle (James) Valdez of Pueblo, CO; nieces and nephews, Autumn (Jake) Burroughs, Clay and Ethan Fletcher, and Christian and Brittany Valdez; great-nephew and great-niece, Ashton and JayLyn Burroughs; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nathan and Anna Plantz and George and Goldie Halvorson; 2 aunts; and 3 uncles.
Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Sampson Funeral Home, 1017 Railroad Ave., Colfax. Funeral Service was held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Sampson Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Schmidt officiating. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Lower Running Valley Cemetery in Colfax.
