Hay River Helpers hold Oct. 8
The October 8th meeting of the Hay River Helpers was held at 7:00 p.m. at Tiffany Creek Elementary Cafeteria. President Abby Kegan took role call and we did the pledges.
We went over old business and heard the treasurer’s report by Corey Klatt.
We welcomed 5 new members.
We will empty our paper depot next month.
The Halloween hay ride at the Klatt farm will be a costume party. Dress warm and bring a dish to pass. It will be on October 27th at 3pm. We will be making scarecrows to enter in the competition at BP Station. Bring your ideas!
The awards meeting will be at our next meeting on Nov. 12th. Sam Retz, Corey Klatt and Rian Corr will plan the activities for that night. Fair checks will also be handed out at that time. We also are to bring our choices for our next years projects on our Member Enrollment Forms that night.
4-H program assistant, Cynthia Bourget, gave a short talk on projects. She explained that 4-H and Fair projects are completely different things. You can do a 4-H project and then share your knowledge with the club. You do not have to take it to the fair. You can contact her office anytime for 4-H information or to make suggestions.
Copies of our Club By-Laws and 2012 – 2013 Club Calendars were passed out.
Officer training will be at the Dunn Co. Judicial Center on Oct. 29th at 6:30. All current 4-H officers should attend. Contact General leader, Missy Klatt, if you need a ride.
Meeting was adjourned.
Delicious lunch was served by Corr and Nelson families.
