STANLEY H. MCINTYRE

Stanley Howard McIntyre, 79 of Boyceville passed away Wednesday October 17th at Dove Health Care West in Eau Claire, WI.

Stanley was born in Wheeler Wisconsin on August 5th, 1933 to Stephan Howard and Augusta Margaret (Rasmussen) McIntyre. He was the eldest of three children. He attended Boyceville High School, graduated in 1951. After graduating, he joined the US Army. He was stationed in Germany and Austria for most of his service years until 1955 when he was honorably discharged.

Stanley married Evelyn Nordby in 1956 and had three children. He worked for Hedlund Manufacturing, did construction work for Kadinger Auto Salvage and worked as a carpenter until he retired in 1995. While retired he enjoyed crafting with wood, cooking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons Michael (Bernie) McIntyre of Eau Claire and Randy McIntyre of Boyceville. Two brothers, Ray (Mary) McIntyre of Danbury, and Gary (Sandy) McIntyre of Baldwin, six grandchildren, Scott (Cassandra) Nelson, Julie, Ellen, Chad, Kathleen and Jacob.  Three great-grandchildren, Charles, Jordan and Sierra Nelson, and also a very special friend Shelby Bauer of Boyceville.

He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Margaret, his wife Evelyn and son Gerald.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, WI with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. Visitation was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial was in West Akers Cemetery in the Town of New Haven, Dunn Co. WI with military honors by Harmon-Harris American Legion Post 314.
