The Rockpile – 10-3-2012

This week I’ll highlight the top averages on the Mixed Couples league. The Saturday Night Live has Chuckie DeSmith in the Top Men’s split with a 206 average while Michelle Druy leads the gals with a 165.

On the Saturday Night league Dean Anderson and Dave Brandt are all knotted up with a 187 average and Lori Klinger is out in front of the gals with an even 190. The other league is the Sunday Nite Mixed. Brian Casey and Peg Heutmaker are the top dogs with a 190 and 161, respectively.

Our Wednesday Noon league finally gets underway this Wednesday as we have some “new” blood in that league. The new team is called the “Fun Girls”! Their team is made up of Karen Stoner, Sandy Drinkman, Lynne’ Cassellius, and Betty Jean Smith. Their team is sponsored by Smith Equipment. Thanks for coming on board, ladies!!

This coming Sunday we’re featuring a taste testing contest during the noon Green Bay game. We’ll put Jim Ross’ famous homemade brats up against Johnsonville brats. We still are in need of a few more judges. Call or stop in if you want to be a judge. It’s a potluck dinner so bring a dish to pass!! (Happy Hour Prices from 11:00 – 3:30 p.m.)!!! Come join the party!

Birdie with a yellow bill, hopped upon my window sill, cocked a shining eye and says: “What would you like with your coffee….sugar???” Bee Boop!!

Momism of the Week: “If you can stay out all night, you can get up in the morning and go to church!!!!” (Actually my dad told me that several times!!) Ring a bell to anyone else?

A Smart Lady!!
Eleven people were hanging on a rope under a helicopter…
10 men and 1 woman.

The rope was not strong enough to carry all of them so they decided that one had to let go, otherwise they were all going to fall. They weren’t able to choose that person, until the woman gave a very touching speech. She said she would voluntarily let go of the rope because, as a woman, she was used to giving up everything for her husband and kids or for men in general, and was used to always making sacrifices with little in return.

As soon as she finished her speech…all the men started clapping.
