SCHOFIELD — Glenwood City’s football team earned a spot in the state’s football championship game by dumping previously undefeated Hilbert Wolves by a score of 28-8. The game was played on D. C. Everest high school football field early Saturday afternoon under an overcast sky that saw the Hilltoppers dominate the game.

By Kelsie Hoitomt CLAYTON – Dominating is the word to describe how the Hilltopper’s played in last Saturday’s game against the Clayton Bears. The Toppers completely shut down the Division 7, number one seeded Bears, who were undefeated going into the game until they lost 46-6.

Cross country boys each finish in top 100

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The cross country state tournament was held in Wisconsin Rapids at the Ridges Golf Course this past Saturday. Glenwood City senior Ethan Brandt and Boyceville junior Tanner Johnson-Hetchler each finished in the top 100 with Brandt placing 56th and Johnson-Hetchler in 87th out of 152 participants.
