In their second full week of competition, the Lady Vikings found they could hold their own defensively against one of the top conference teams.

The Colfax softball squad welcomed Durand to its home field April 11. The Vikings allowed two runs in the first, but then held the Panthers scoreless until the seventh, when Durand drove in another run for the 3-0 win.

The Lady Vikings then took a road trip to Plum City April 13. Coach Richard Meredith said the team’s bats woke up against the Blue Devils as the Vikings claimed a 12-3 victory.
