Vaughn Voeltz, 63 years of age, passed away on Friday, May 12th, 2017 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Vaughn was born on February 4th, 1954 in Amery, Wisconsin to Verlyn and Thora (Lehman) Voeltz. He was the second of three children. Vaughn graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1972. On July 22nd, 1978 Vaughn married Barbara Meyer in Forest, WI. They had three children; Mitchell, Miranda and Matthew and their beloved dog Tucker. Vaughn was employed at Advanced Food Products (formerly Land O’Lakes) in Clear Lake, WI, retiring in 2014 after 30 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent many weekends and vacation days bowhunting the “Pines,” searching the rivers and streams for that perfect trout hole, freezing toes and hands, fox and coyote hunting, and fishing every chance he had with his sons, father-in-law and father. Each spring was dedicated to turkey hunting with his sons, Mitchell, Matthew, and Cory and many friends. Any day of the week you could see him driving around the “back roads” in his blue truck with his dog Tucker by his side.
A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 19th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2980 210th Avenue, Forest, WI 54013, Pastor Bob will be officiating. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
Vaughn is survived by his wife Barbara of 38 years, sons Mitchell (Anna) Voeltz and Matthew (Arica) Voeltz, daughter Miranda (Luke) Grosskreutz, mother Thora Voeltz, brothers Vince (Gail) Voeltz and Verdell (Gloria) Voeltz, and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Verlyn Voeltz, father-in-law Lawrence Meyer, and mother-in-law Janis Meyer.
