Things finally appear to be clicking right along for the outdoor track season.
The weather is warm, the sun is staying up later in the evening, and the teams appear to have found their niches.
Glenwood City had a brief preview of what the Dunn-St. Croix meet at Boyceville might look like when it went to the Colfax Invitational May 9. The Hilltopper boys finished sixth out of 14 teams with 37 points, while the girls were 10th out of 14 after picking up 40 points.
The Hilltoppers then hosted a May 11 meet featuring Middle Border Conference members Amery, Baldwin-Woodville, Ellsworth, St. Croix Central, Somerset and Prescott. The Topper boys placed third in the seven-team meet with 100.50 points with the ladies taking sixth with a 60 point tally.
