Rockpile – 4-5-2017
We have a couple new 2016-17 champions. On the Wednesday Noon League, The Hair Depot defeated my Leaker gals for the bragging rights. Their team is made up of Jean Booth, Penny Johansen, Rosie Kohler and Kay Cassellius.
On the Senior Circuit, my Leaker’s squad won both halves to come out on top of that league. My team consists of Dennis Ohman, Bob Schribner, Elmer Schell, Doug Standaert, Harry Standaert, Joe Walz and yours truly.
Good job to both champions!!!
Last weekend, we had a lot of bowlers go to Green Bay for Men’s State Bowling. Brent and Doug Standaert did a good job in Doubles and placed in the money. Gary Stand rolled a 670 in the team event. Nick Mrdutt rolled a dandy 704 in the team event even though he had never bowled a 600 series. Mike Wink rolled a 783 in singles and a 772 in singles. One fella from the Twin Cities, who is a friend of Wink’s, tossed a perfect 300 game along with a 795 series. His name is Lamar Edwards. Great bowling, fellas!!

Raise your hand if you grew up watching black and white TV. Remember when you only got 3 channels on your television? And the day started, and ended, with that familiar TV Test Pattern. It meant the idea of watching television 24 hours a day had not yet been invented or was not yet common place.
