MENOMONIE  —  A Dunn County judge has ordered the forfeiture of a $1,000 cash bail posted by a 25-year-old Wheeler man charged with the battery of an 89-year-old Boyceville woman.

During a hearing February 5 in Dunn County Circuit Court, Judge Rod Smeltzer ordered the bail posted by Daniel D. Schick to be forfeited after Schick failed to show up for an arraignment hearing January 2.

Judge Smeltzer issued a bench warrant for Schick’s arrest January 2 but as of the February 5 forfeiture hearing, Schick had not yet been located.
