Glenhaven-Havenwood Happenings – 3-7-2018

Glenhaven News Feb. 24-Mar. 2

Quentin Kase was here to entertain on Saturday afternoon.

Catholic communion was on Sunday morning, and Grace Baptist Church was here for services in the afternoon.

Monday was manicure day for the ladies, and the baking club made some delicious strawberry cheesecake trifle, which was served as our birthday treat on Tuesday, when Jane and Friends came to sing for our monthly birthday party. They did a great job as always! Thanks, Ladies.

The Boyceville Methodist church was here for services on Tuesday morning, which was followed by Live to be Healthy exercises.

The baking club was busy twice this week, as they made banana cream pie on Wednesday afternoon. It is National Banana Cream Pie Day on Friday. We will be serving it for a Bingo snack on Thursday, when the Forest Methodist Church will be here hosting Bingo.

We had a very nice group of helpers for Bingo on Thursday. Pastor John was under the weather, but he sent a wealth of reinforcements, namely Gary, Cindy, Sue, Amanda, Graham, Heather, Michael, Abel, Dennis and Joyce, to help us out. It was a good time, and the residents did a great job on the pie! Dennis said he’s never met a piece of pie he didn’t like! Thanks to you all, and we hope Pastor John feels better soon.

Friday morning Wes Tuttle was here for communion, and Alice Tuttle brought Louie, their dog, to visit. He is a bundle of energy, and everyone loves seeing him. It was also popcorn day, so the place was smelling great!

The residents planted some alyssum, marigolds and petunia seeds in the afternoon. Maybe that will encourage spring to get here!
