GC girls shellacked by Elk Mound, held off by Elmwood-Plum City

If there were an award in the conference for sheer “stick-to-it” attitude, there is a good chance the Glenwood City girls would win it.

While the team started out last week with a 72-35 loss at Elk Mound January 9, there was a definite stubborn streak running through the Lady Toppers. Head coach Dean Fayerweather was pleased with his team’s overall performance against a strong Mounders’ squad.

The Hilltoppers stayed home to play Elmwood/Plum City last Friday, January 12, and fought hard, but fell to the Wolves 51-44 in the end.
