GC batsmen fall short against Pirates

GRANTSBURG — If you are a fan of the Glenwood City baseball team, then you know that 2017 has been rough so far.

Things improved, but only slightly, when the Toppers traveled to Grantsburg April 7 for a meeting with the Pirates. The Hilltopper put a pair of runs on the board in the fifth inning, but it was not enough to give the team new life, as the Grantsburg squad had already put 16 runs on the scoreboard in the first two innings.
