ERMA C. PETERSON

Erma C. Peterson, 99, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Eau Claire. 

Erma was born on April 1, 1918, in Colfax, to Alfred and Vernice (Madison) Peterson. She attended grade school near New Auburn at Spring Brook School, and graduated from Colfax High School with the Class of 1936. 

Erma worked at the Navy Department in Washington DC for five years. After returning to Colfax, she worked at the Eau Claire City/County Health Department for thirty four years retiring in 1981. 

Erma is survived by one sister, Verna (Edward) McCabe of Bethesda, MD; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and special friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen June (William) Bielbrey and Beatrice (Leslie) Koski; one brother, Almont (Sybil) Peterson; and a great-niece, Alyssa Koski. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Randall Casper, and all the staff at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home and Mayo Clinic Health Systems for their special care shown to Erma. 

 Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Lake Street United Methodist Church, 337 Lake Street, Eau Claire, with Rev. Jerry Morris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Colfax. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving her family.
