ELK MOUND — A martial arts instructor who has taught classes in the Elk Mound community center for the past few years has been approved to erect a sign on the premises.

The Elk Mound Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of Josh Lindberg’s five-foot by four-foot sign for Karate American during a November 15 meeting. Commission chairman Terry Stamm indicated the proposed sign met all village ordinances, and would be placed on the southeastern end of the parking lot.
