By LeAnn R. Ralph

DOWNING — A 43-year-old Downing man was pronounced dead Tuesday, July 19, after the motorcycle he was driving had crashed on county Highway Q north of Downing in the Town of Tiffany.

Todd C. Danovsky was southbound on Highway Q  north of 1150th Avenue when the motorcycle entered the right road shoulder, lost control and entered a corn field, according to a news release from the Dunn County Sheriff’s Department.

Danovksy, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dunn County Medical Examiner.

The Dunn County Sheriff’s Department and the Glenwood City Police Department responded to the scene.

Although Danovsky was not found until Tuesday, July 19, several social media posts indicate that friends and family believe he died on Saturday, July 16.

Danovsky was a 1992 graduate of Boyceville High School.

Todd Danovsky’s twin brother, Michael, died in a rafting accident four years ago on the Wolf River near Shawano.

Michael Danovsky apparently fell into the water on August 4, 2012, and was pulled under by the strong current in that area of the river.

The Menominee County Sheriff’s Department was finally able to recover Michael Danovsky’s body three days later on Tuesday, August 7, 2012.

Todd Clayton Danovsky was born on March 24, 1973, in Eau Claire to Tom and Sharon Danovsky, along with his twin brother Michael Thomas.

Todd was currently employed as an Extrusion Technician at 3M in Menomonie.

He enjoyed being outdoors and hunting deer, turkey and bear. Todd also enjoyed going on bike trips with his Harley all over the country and also riding locally.

Services were held at Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City on Friday, July 22, and Saturday, July 23, with burial at Tiffany Cemetery in Boyceville.

According to his obituary, Todd Danovsky had eight grandchildren, was very involved in the lives of his grandchildren and enjoyed being Grandpa Todd. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Connor Ajer.

A full obituary for Todd Danovksy is published elsewhere in the Tribune Press Reporter.

A GoFundMe page has been set up online to help raise money for Todd Danovsky’s funeral expenses. As of Monday, July 25, the GoFundMe page had raised a little over $2,000.

Boo’z Bar & Grill in Knapp declared Monday, July 25, Todd Danovsky Day and pledged to donate all cash sales to the family.

The Wilson Night Club also conducted a raffle to raise money with the winner being selected at 8 p.m. Monday.
