Colfax Health and Rehab news – August 8, 2012

We started the week on Monday with Entertainment by Dale Martell. We all look forward to his music.

On Tuesday afternoon our Bingo players gathered to gather some treats and prizes.

Wednesday the afternoon featured Beauty Boutique. The following day was our annual Circus. We decided to set up several tents Wednesday morning to get a jump on all the work on Thursday. Well the joke was on us, because Wednesday evening the tents took the brunt of the storm.

On Thursday morning we had to unassemble them, duct tape what we could and re-assemble them. Thanks to Dick and Matt and several volunteers the tents went back up and by 1:30 the Circus began. The smell of Cotton Candy and fresh Popcorn filled the air. Circus music kept everyone in a circus mood. Clowns, Pony Rides, Petting Zoo, a Fortune Teller, Face painters, Duck Pond, Fishing Pond, Plunk It, and Ring Toss were some of the events. Parents and children, and our residents played the games, ate the food, and made this year’s Circus a success!

On Friday we had a gospel sing in the morning and played Bingo in the afternoon.

Sue Buroker came on Saturday and visited with many residents. Leona Ubbelohde visits residents on Sunday and sometimes stops on Saturday as well. This week in the land of Colfax where Men are strong and the Ladies are good looking..
