4H 22ers hold August 27 meeting

The 22ers 4H meeting was called to order on Monday, August 27, by Vice President Jeremiah Harder at the Grant Town Hall. After the flag pledges, attendance was taken by Kelcy Arvold. Each member answered the question, “What was your favorite part of the club trip?”

There were no visitors announced during attendance. The Historian’s and Treasurer’s Requests were heard by Courtney Dressel and Kamdon Quast. The Secretary’s minutes were announced by Kelcy Arvold.

The members with June Birthdays were Nate Polden and Jeremiah Harder. We sang “Happy Birthday.”

Old business — New Club T-Shirts are $6 a T-shirt. Anyone who has not paid for theirs yet please pay.

Dunn County Fair: a great job by all who attended! Food stand thank you to the ones who helped.

Thank you Keith for working the Pie and Ice cream Social and Tina Edwards for bringing pies.

How did the Exhibit building watch go?

Bloomer Fair report: Congratulations to the 22ers who participated.

4H camp out: Everyone who went had a good time.

4-H Softball: Keith will update. How did the seasons end up? How was the All-Star game? 50/50 inter, and the rest did not go so well.

Record book workshop was held Saturday, June 2, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Farmhouse (Country Shoppe). Records Books are due tonight, or get them in as soon as possible but no later than September 7.

How did the concession stand at the Tractor Pull go on August 18?

A date needs to be set for the adult-youth meeting to update by-laws and get members’ input.

Blood Mobile cheese and crackers were delivered by the 22ers on August 21 for the blood donors

Plat book update: Did well, $30 each.

The snack was served by the Polden and Rice families.

There were no speeches.

New Business — Firemen’s Ball Parade on September 8: do we want to have a float? We need to have a parent to volunteer to organize it.

Things to think about — If you would like to be a 4H Club Officer, we will have to vote on officers at the September meeting. You have to be in seventh grade or older.
National 4H week will be the first week in October. We usually make a window display to promote 4H.
