13-year-old threatens shooting at Elk Mound schools

ELK MOUND  —  It all started with a field trip.

A 13-year-old Elk Mound Middle School student involved in a verbal and physical altercation on a bus returning from a field trip to the middle school last Wednesday carried the altercation into the school and threatened the possibility of a shooting that could occur at the school on Friday, March 2, according to a news release from the Dunn County Sheriff’s Department.

The Dunn County E-911 Center received a report of the threat at Elk Mound Middle School at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 28.
